Wahoo's Fish Taco's

In sports marketing class we learned the 4P's of Marketing : Promotion, Place, Price, and Product.
In this project we are answering questions about a movie we saw that was about a company named Wahoo's Fish Taco's, which was once a small company founded by 3 brothers (Wing, Ed, Mingo)  that combined their love of surfing and food to create a restaurant with a help of their partner (Steve K).
The Wahoo restaurant developed a bond between their customers and community by giving away free food to places like surfing competitions and rock climbing companies. Making it a successful buisness because of the owners interaction with their customers. Wahoo's also has a ten second rule-The maximum amount of time it takes a customer to stay at the register before someone helps them, and the amount of time it takes for the cook to look at the ticket and start getting the food ready. With this ten second rule the company became successful because of customers having good service. Wahoo's also promotes managers from within their company because they believe that if they promote their own people, from the company, their workers could be inspired and have the potential to do what it takes to work hard and have motivation. Wahoo's used their 4 P's by Serving quick food/cooked to order, Fish Tacos (product), Having restaurants close to beaches and popular places (place), having cheap prices for their food (price),and by giving away free food in surfing competitions (promotion). Their use of the 4P's helped the restaurant expand and have a successful company making it no longer a small company.
